Sky Notes: Astro insights for the week of May 26, 2025

This week activates a powerfully energizing era we are stepping into. Taking control of one’s willpower to achieve drastic outcomes is not just the theme of the week, it’s one of the dominant themes taking hold during the next few years. Where you are directing your focus is going to have the potential to completely reshape your life in such a way that seemed impossible not long ago.

However, you can only embrace your sheer force of personal will if you can also trust your intuition. Your intuition, that feeling or sense of knowing that comes from deep within, is what’s being highly activated right now. Your inner voice knows what it needs and it’s been giving you signals for a long time. Your task is now to either take your intuition seriously and make real gains, or to start figuring out what is blocking it.

Saturn enters Aries

This past weekend, Saturn left Pisces which it’s been moving through since March 2023. This transit has pervaded our minds and the world with a heaviness that at times seemed too difficult to bare. The 2.5 years of Saturn in Pisces concentrated our focus on a part of life that reached a culmination point. One of the main purposes of this transit was for us to gain acceptance over the fact that sometimes we can lose control of our destiny or that our destiny was not what we once thought it was. Life is cyclical and the cycles of death and rebirth are constantly in motion. Sometimes we just need to accept the way things turned out in order to lay the groundwork to move forward.

This required us to dream, reimagine, and start building momentum toward a new vision. With Saturn now in Aries, this vision will be tested and its survival will rely on our uninterrupted dedication. A threshold has been crossed and a new order has begun. What has been going on behind the scenes is now at center stage. In other words, something new now feels real. But again, Aries is about willpower, personal identity, and the unwillingness to let fear get in the way. Blockages and challenges will come up and egos will be bruised — that’s inevitable — but our task is to proceed with a laser-focus and to use emotions like anger and aggression constructively and not at the expense of others or ourselves.

A New Moon in Gemini

New Moons mark the beginning of a cycle relating to the qualities of the sign that the Moon is in. This New Moon is happening in Gemini which represents the mind’s desire to perceive and take in life. Gemini is about the accumulation of information and the curiosity to discover more. During this lunar phase, the Moon’s light goes dark and becomes hidden from site. It symbolizes the conception or seeding of something new that will grow, evolve, and come to fruition over time.

What’s fascinating about this New Moon is that its position in the sky is creating a powerful aspect with several of the outer planets. When these outer planets are activated by transits, we tend to see events on Earth that affect humanity at large. This includes things like discoveries and breakthroughs, technological advances, and also cataclysmic events such as natural disasters and war. These outer planets act as energy currents that undergird everything we experience in reality. They represent cycles and systems of change that take many years to unfold, both out in the world and within each of us individually. A New or Full Moon interacting with these planets can be a trigger or activation point.

Be guided by your curiosities

This new path you are stepping into is starting to be shaped by what you are feeding it. Today’s New Moon starts off a new process of research, data gathering, and talking with others about whatever it is you’re trying to build. Over the next few weeks, you may find yourself having an insatiable appetite to learn and absorb everything that you can get your hands on. This isn’t so much about making sense of the information and building an intellect around it — that comes later when you sort everything out. As I mentioned last week, be discerning in this process. Watching Youtube videos to “research” for 8 hours a day is going to cause brain rot. The spiritual leader or entrepreneur you’re interested in may be a sham. This would be a good time to start reading a book or begin a new writing project.

It’s also a good time to ask more questions and to start asking for what you want out of life. Ask for help, ask for a raise, ask for the recommendation. Seek the involvement of others and allow them to help you achieve your goals. For some of you it could be a great time to take a class and learn with others. Keep an open mind and let others surprise you.

Propaganda and the power of mind control

Out in the world, particularly in America, I think we may be entering a new era of propaganda. I’m not going to predict any outcomes, but I do sense that we will see a lot more political messaging aimed at controlling our perception of what’s going on in the world. As the country is being dismantled and rebuilt, it is going to require a nation of people who are not free-thinkers to help do the work out on the streets. What may surface is a unified message, a slogan, or consistent rhetoric about keeping America safe. This has already been at play, but I sense it will be doubled down on in order to get people to fall in line.

Pay attention to the possibility of this dynamic also playing out in your personal life. Who might be playing mind games with you? Are you being lied to? Be wary about the truth someone may be claiming and trust your intuition if you think you’re being deceived about something. Another take on these current transits is the possibility of your personal agency being thwarted. Saturn in Aries can manifest as someone controlling you. On the flip side, are you the one controlling others?

Be your own authority

Directing your will in a purposeful and intentional way will allow you to step into your own courage. Act with integrity and be playful with self-expression. It’s a time for experimentation to see what works for you. Be your own authority so that you can be the author of your story.
